PANGOLIN RESCUE CENTRE
Near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda
The Pangolin Rescue Centre is a community‑based wildlife conservation organisation in Uganda dedicated to saving and protecting pangolins — one of the world’s most trafficked and endangered mammals. Founded by Arineitwe Moses in 2015, the centre provides care for pangolins rescued from poachers, illegal traders, or found injured.
The centre rehabilitates the animals in safe, natural-like enclosures, providing veterinary care, food, and attention until they can survive independently. Once healthy, the pangolins are released back into protected forests such as Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, playing a vital role in ensuring the survival of these elusive and vulnerable animals in the wild.
